FIFA/CAF Instructor, Adebgoye Onigbinde says it is wrong for him to advise Super Eagles’ coach, Stephen Keshi, on what to do ahead of 2014 World Cup.

On Friday, Nigeria were grouped alongside Argentina, Iran and Bosnia Herzegovina in the World Cup draw conducted by FIFA in Brazil.

Speaking on Metro FM early today, Onigbinde said he is not duty bound to tell Keshi how to prepare his team for the World Cup in the media unless the coach himself consults and invites him to do so.

“It is wrong for me to advise Keshi in the media. If Keshi wants my advice, he has my phone number, he can call me. I cannot just be saying that he should do this or that before the World Cup in the media,” said Onigbinde who added that the Nigerian team are in a difficult group. Onigbinde, who took Nigeria to 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan said Nigeria will qualify from the group stage if the players remain focused and show commitment in all the matches.
