NMS’ Boot Camp For Kids Ends

As part of activities to mark the tenth anniversary of popular reality television show, Next Movie Star, later this year, the producers, Digital Interactive Media, has introduced a novel boot camp for kids interested in entertainment. And it was a huge success.

Tagged ‘The Wow Kids’, the boot camp attracted kids between the ages of five and 12 from private and public schools across Lagos and Ogun States. But only 50 of the hundreds of kids that applied actually made it into the boot camp. And they were the exceptional ones who showed cutting-edge talent, flair and passion for acting.

Speaking on the boot camp, Sola Fajobi, executive producer of the show said the idea of the boot camp is to provide a platform for kids who are interested in acting.

“We set to discover, groom, mentor, redirect these kids minds and inculcate our cultural, moral and social values into them using their God-given talent as a tool. It is also part of activities lined up to mark the 10th year anniversary of the Next Movie Star Reality TV show,” Fajobi said.

Also speaking at the end of the boot camp, Wilson, co-coordinator of the boot camp thanked the parents for staying with their kids while the camping lasted and for believing in the vision of the producers whose commitment to discovering fresh talent for the Nigerian and African entertainment industry is unparalleled.

She also used the occasion to announce that the Next Movie Star Kiddies Reality show would berth on television very soon with scholarships and mouth-watering prizes for participants.
