The remains of Anita Uche Ikemefunna, wife of James Skidd Ikemefuna, foremost Gospel music artiste and General Manager, (Special Duties) Silverbird Group, who died on 28 December 2013 following injuries she sustained in a motor accident, will be buried tomorrow in Asaba, Delta State.
Late Anita died in the crash which occurred on a bad portion of the road between Okpanam and Asaba. The accident also claimed the life of her mother, aunt-in-law and aunt-in-law’s 30-year-old-son. They were said to be returning to Asaba from Ezi, Delta State where they had gone to bury her grandmother. Her youngest son, 14-month old Solomon, who was in the car with them survived without injuries.
According to burial plans announced by the family, Anita will be buried after a farewell service at the House on the Rock Asaba.
“This is a terrible loss but the Bible says ‘give thanks to Jehovah in every situation. We are no longer mourning but thanking God Almighty for her life and for my life and that of my children, especially little Solomon whom God miraculously brought out of that ghastly accident. I pray our Governor will fix that road as soon as possible,” said Ikemefuna, the bereaved husband.
She is survived by her husband, Skidd and children, Joshua, Shalom and Solomon.
