Beautiful actress, Chika Ike, has returned to location for a shoot of another yet-to-be-titled epic movie. She is currently on location in the eastern part of Nigeria with the likes of Camila Mberekpe and Ngozi Ezeonu.
Chika, who got into limelight after playing the lead role in Mirror of Beauty, an epic film directed by Okezubelu Okoh, said her love for such genre of film is second to none.
The actress, who has for some years now been involved in charity projects under the auspices of her Chika Ike Foundation, recently posted on a social network that “Epic films are quite stressful because of the environmental hazards, the insects and harsh weather. But I love it for it makes me travel back to the time of our forefathers. I’m now filming with one of my favourite film mamas, the lovely aunty Ngozi (Ezeonu). I love my job.”
Born 8 November, 1985, Chika is a leading Nigerian actress, entrepreneur (CEO of Fancy Nancy Collections) and philanthropist. She is a UN Ambassador, Refugee Ambassador for Displaced persons and founder—Chika Ike (Help A Child) Foundation.
The actress is a Human Kinetics and Health Education graduate from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
In 2005, she landed her first roles in the movies Sweet Love and Bless the Child, directed by TChidi Chikere. She is a two-time African Movie Academy Award nominee; in 2006, she was nominated for best upcoming actress and in 2009 she was nominated for best supporting actress respectively.
On 15 December, 2013, Chika was honoured with a Nollywood Fashion Icon of the Year award for Fancy Nancy Collections at the Cynosure Magazine Nigeria Fashion Recognition Awards which was held at Troy Lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos.
