Comedy sure does have a good effect on Nollywood star actress Kate Henshaw as a 19-year-old comedian, Laff Doctor, who is a finalist in the on-going Nigeria’s Got Talent Season 2, wowed the actress with his wholesome comedy performance.
“I will say I am sorry to the producers of this show for doing this, but I owe you N50,000. Your energy and timing is fantastic,” said an impressed Kate, who is one of the show’s judges.
Laff Doctor also earned a standing ovation from two remaining judges; Yibo Koko and Dan Foster after his performance.
“This is what a performance should be like. You have just raised the bar for other contestants coming after you,” said a very proud Yibo.
Meanwhile, Fela Anikulapo Kuti may be dead but his sprit sure lives on. The Afrobeat legend was remembered and honoured at the final performance show of Nigeria’s Got Talent by a dance group from Ibadan, The Elevatorz.
Dressed like the Afrobeat legend, The Elevatorz danced to a mix of Western and Nigerian music before taking a switch at a mix of Fela’s songs. Their performance brought a mix of Afrobeat and contemporary dance moves.
“Well-done. That was a perfect performance,” said a happy Dan Foster.
The season is coming to an end, and all 10 acts left brought their best foot forward for the N10 million grand prize.
