Budding Islamic gospel singer, Kafayat Olajumoke Ajibola, otherwise known as Alasela Voice of Islam, will unveil her maiden music album, Ope Mi Ree, on 23 March.
The formal presentation of the four-track album recorded and mastered at Femi Opalemo’s studio in Lagos, holds at Youth Centre, Akinwumi Street, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos.
A banker of six years’ experience, delectable Alasela told P.M.NEWS Entertainment Cafe that she started a career in Islamic music just two years ago.
“I was discovered and encouraged by a radio presenter who served as compere at a youth programme organised by NASFAT in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, while singing amidst other participants. After the programme, I began to attend similar programmes, watching performances of established Muslim and non Muslim artistes on stage.
“Today, I give praise and adoration to Almighty Allah for taking me this far and making it possible for me to produce this album that I am about to launch. Amuda wa shukura,” revealed the 29-year-old Osun State-born singer.
