Justice Idris Kutigi: chairman of the conference

President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday approved the appointment of former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Legbo Kutigi, as the Chairman of the National Conference.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim in Abuja.

Anyim said that the president also approved the appointment of Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi as Vice Chairman and Dr. Valerie Azinge as Secretary of the conference.

The SGF said the appointees were to report in Abuja on March 5 and would be received by him on arrival.

The Conference will be inaugurated 10 March in Abuja.
