Mexico Tie: Keshi Impressed With Eagles' Debutants

Chief Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Stephen Keshi has expressed delight with the performance of the four debutants that featured for the team in an international friendly against Mexico Thursday morning (Nigerian time) in the United States of America, USA.

Fortuna Dusseldorf defender, Leon Balogun, Ramon Azeez of Almeria of Spain, Michael Uchebo and Imoh Ezekiel all made their debut in the colours of the Super Eagles and Keshi is excited by their good showing in the match.

Disclosing Keshi’s delight, Media Officer of the team, Benjamin Alaiya who spoke from the USA shortly after the goalless encounter against Mexico watched by no fewer than 68,220 fans. He said that Keshi expressed delight over the performance of the four players because it afforded him the opportunity to see how the players can fit into his World Cup plans.

Alaiya said:  “The ‘Big Boss’ was delighted with the performance of the four players during the tie against Mexico, despite the outcome, he spoke glowingly of the players, from what I gathered from Keshi the players played to instructions.”
