Cricket: Nigeria beat Cayman Islands

Nigeria’s male cricket team on Sunday defeated Cayman Islands by seven wickets at the ongoing World Cricket League (WCL) Div. 5 holding in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to an International Cricket Council statement, Nigeria had 205 runs for 3 wickets in 40.4 overs while Cayman Islands had 204 runs all out in 50 overs.

Nigeria won by seven wickets with 56 balls remaining.

The WCL Div. 5 started on March 4 and would end on March 14.

It said that Endurance Ofem, was the man of the match after making 90 runs while Saheed Akolade, impressed with three wickets. Ofem was also the man of the match against Guernsey.

Nigeria won two matches in three played and would be playing against Tanzania on Monday, March 10.

Tanzania recorded their first win in the tournament on Sunday against Guernsey by 48 runs.
