Gov. Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State has denied sending some youths to represent him at the North-West rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna.

The Governor’s Special Assistant on Information, Communications and Technology (ICT), Aminu Abdullahi said Wammako is still in the APC.

He stated that those, who paraded themselves at the PDP North-West rally in Kaduna as supporters of Wamakko, were not supporters of Wamakko.

“They are rented youths to discredit and tarnish the image of Gov. Wamakko’s firm belief in APC and its yearning for change.’’ it stated.

According to the statement, the purported supporters of Wamakko were not sent or asked to represent him in any PDP event of which Wamakko is not a member.

It said that Wamakko had disassociated himself and the APC in Sokoto from the North-West rally of the PDP.

“And any vehicle sighted with inscription: Wamakko for 2015 with PDP logo is not in any way with the consent of the governor and his APC party in the state,’’ the release said.
