“We will maintain transparency in all our exercise, just like the way we were transparent in the party membership registration which is the first ever in the political history of Nigeria,’’ he said.

According to Izunaso, the National Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, has set up two committees for Osun party congress and governorship primaries.

Responding, Aregbesola said his decision to seek second term in office was borne out of the desire to continue the good work he had started in 2010.

According to him, his administration is almost completing 10 kilometres of road in all the local government areas in the state.

“We are processing 1,000 kilometres of roads that are 70 per cent completed,” he said.

On education, the governor said that he had been providing free nutritious meal to about 300,000 primary school pupils in the state.

Also speaking, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Masari, said the governor had demonstrated good leadership that should be emulated by all the states in the federation.
