No Regrets Singing Gospel, Says Yetty

Female gospel music act and leader of Glory Landers Band, Princess Yetunde Okikiola Adejuwon a.k.a. Yetty Alasepe, has said that she has no regrets being a gospel singer.

She made the declaration on Sunday during a music concert her outfit, Alasepe L’Oluwa Productions staged in commemoration of this year’s Easter celebration.

“I have no regrets at all singing gospel. I grew up in a church as my mother is a church leader, while my talent is God-given and He has always been there for me,” she said.

The mother of one, who assembled her band over a decade ago with two albums to her credit, lamented the sorry state of the Nigerian music industry on recent times, saying that its progress was being retarded owing to insincerity of stakeholders and the menace of piracy, among other factors.

During the impressive event a veteran journalist and Editor in-Chief of The Trumpet newspaper, Chief Akinloye Adelusi and a Makoko-based trado-medical practitioner, Dr. Olorunfemi Oluwatoba, were honoured with merit awards in recognition of their “invaluable contribution to the development of the band.
