Aregbesola inaugurates 21 road projects in Osogbo

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun on Monday 28 April inaugurated 21 roads in Osogbo that were reconstructed at the cost of N4.09 billion.
At a ceremony at Oriki Housing Estate Road, the governor said the roads were reconstructed to reduce the traffic problems in the city as well as attract foreign investors to the state.
He said that the state government had reconstructed 26.2 kilometres of roads in the town in the last one year.
He also said that 294.2 kilometres of roads had been reconstructed in all the local government areas of the state.
According to him, the government will not relent in its efforts to develop infrastructure in the state to promote social economic development.
Sabitu Amuda, Special Adviser to the governor on Works, said road reconstruction by the government had brought socio economic development to the state.
Amuda said the state government was also embarking on construction of dual carriageways as well as overhead bridges across the state.
The roads inaugurated by the governor include Aregbe Junction, Odi Olowo Road and First Bank Road.
