Blood In The Lagoon, a Teco Benson Production, has been released nationwide by the Tropical Gem Studios.
The movie, which features Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde alongside Okey Uzoeshi, Ufuoma Ejenobor, Akin Lewis, Eddie Ugboma, and other notable actors, has already been named one of the films to watch out for in 2014 by Nollywood Reinvented.
Set against the backdrop of dichotomies surrounding the Lagos lifestyle, the film centres around George Dibiya (Okey Uzoeshi), born into abject poverty and thrust deep into the drudgery fate has dealt him, George ekes out a living in the treacherous murky waters of the Lagos lagoon.
Just like thousands in the many slums of Nigeria, his life story is already written and sealed by fate, even before he came into the world. And this is not of his making. The chances of getting any education and, maybe clawing his way out of the situation is zero to unlikely, at best. But after the murder of his brother, George sets out not allow his brothers dream die. Along the way, he gets entangled with the stunningly beautiful (Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde).
