Gambia has been barred from all African competitions for two years because of age cheating, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) said Saturday.
The suspension means the west African country forfeit a 2015 Cup of Nations qualifier against the Seychelles scheduled for mid-May.
CAF said Gambia fielded five over-age footballers during an African youth championship victory in Liberia last month.
The senior national team, known as the Scorpions, are ranked 40 in Africa and 131 in the world.
