The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Friday frowned at late arrival of some candidates writing the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination Computer Based Test (CBT) in Lagos State.

The board’s Deputy Director in charge of out stations, Noble Onukwue, described the attitude as unbecoming and lack of seriousness.

Onukwue told NAN at the Digital Bridge Institute, Oshodi, Lagos, a CBT centre, that some of the candidates lacked exposure.

He said that there was no justification for any candidate to arrive late for the test, adding that candidates ought to have located their centres days before the commencement of the examination.

A NAN correspondent, who visited some of the centres, observed that some of the candidates arrived minutes after the commencement of the examination.

Some candidates who spoke to NAN said that they were either held back by traffic jam or missed their ways.
