Former Nigerian international and ex-captain of the Super Eagles, Segun Odegbami (MON) has said that the crop of players Coach Stephen Keshi is taking to the 2014 FIFA World in Brazil are in battle mood to make the country proud.

Odegbami, who was fondly called ‘Mathematical’ during his playing days, tipped the Eagles to make history at the World Cup in Brazil as they are hungry to do so.

Odegbami watched the team’s last training in the United States of America on Monday and thereafter declared: “I like what I saw at the training ground, the hunger of the boys, the confidence they displayed and the way and manner the coaching crew conducted themselves.

“Something tells me history is in the making with this team.”

Looking trim and boyish in his jeans top and trousers, Odegbami said he was motivated to come and join the team’s training because of the quality of the players and coaches.
