Bosnia Tie: Super Eagles Must Raise Their Game

The performance of Nigeria’s Super Eagles against Iran in their first Group F match of the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil has continued to generate reaction from football loving Nigerians that looking forward to seeing the players stepping up their game in their next match against Bosnia on Saturday.

One of such Nigerians is Prince Wale Oladunjoye, Principal Senior Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development to Governor Raji Fashola of Lagos, who said the World Cup is not for mediocres, hence the need for Stephen Keshi’s Eagles to raise their game in order to pick the three points at stake in their next match.

According to Prince Oladunjoye, the Tournament Director of the annual Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Championship, “well let’s see how it goes with the psyche of our players in raising their composure against the other two teams (Bosnia and Argentina) that may be more difficult. I believe that it is where it is tough that you find men. I hope they show proofs of a tough and determine teams against Bosnia on Satuday who I rated very compact and adventurous at goal area.”

Prince Oladunjoye, who is currently in Brazil to watch matches of the World Cup and drum support for the Eagles said that he enjoyed what he saw in Mexico versus Brazil match on Tuesday and would like the Eagles to play as the Meixcans held their heads against the hosts.

“It was a highly technical game. This was what is expected at the level of the World Cup because the best teams and players play at the World Cup. The tournament is not for mediocres. I hope our players have leanrt their lesson unlike the joke against Iran and  unless we’re here to make a number. God forbid. I want a serious Eagles against Bosnia on Saturday,” he said.
