The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, has described the death of the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Arisekola-Alao, as a personal loss.

Tambuwal said this on Monday at the Ibadan residence of the late businessman while condoling with the family.

“Arisekola-Alao is a very sincere person and sincere in whatever he does. He lived a life of piety and closeness to God.

“He also lived a good and simple life, a life of being there for all and not for himself and his immediate family.

“We will surely miss him,” Tambuwal said.

The speaker called on Nigerians to emulate Arisekola-Alao’s virtue of philanthropy, saying “If you have, share with the rest of the people; that is the nature of Arisekola-Alao.”

Similarly, former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Monday also visited Arisekola-Alao’s residence on Monday to condole with the family.

Atiku said the vacuum left behind by the deceased would be difficult to fill and prayed God to grant him eternal rest.

Also at Arisekola-Alao’s residence was the son of the late Bashorun MKO Abiola, Kola, who urged Nigerians to continue with the legacy left behind by the deceased.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Arisekola-Alao’s son, Isa, thanked the dignitaries for visiting the family inspite of their tight schedules.
