John Mikel Obi says the strength of the Super Eagles lies in their team work rather than individual ability.
Mikel is acknowledged as one of the stars of the team, but he insists that that is not the case, “One thing this team has is we do not have individuals. Everybody plays for each other,” he said.
“I don’t want to be the one. As long as everyone plays together. No one wants to be the Maradona. I’ll continue to do my hard work and do my best for the team.”
Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama’s experience in the French Ligue 1 is also coming in handy; according to Mikel.
“Yes he has spoken to a few of us and told us a few things about the players in their team.
“I’ve also played against a lot of the players in the Champions League so I know a lot of them and so with the little details we have, we are ready for the game.
“The coaches have done their homework too so I think the coach will give us more details. Everyone is chipping in making sure we are fully concentrated on the game.”
