After a long hiatus, Nollywood star actor, Ejike Asiegbu is making his return to the movie scene.
P.M.NEWS Entertainment Cafe learnt that Asiegbu will be starring in a big budget movie put together by the Zik Zulu Okafor-led Association of Movie Producers, AMP. The movie will be directed by fellow actor Desmond Elliot.
During his long absence, Asiegbu, popularly called ‘The Godfather’ was busy with the politics of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, a body he headed as its president in an era which saw the then moribund body come alive.
After his term at AGN, Asiegbu was appointed Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Entertainment and later he became an Ambassador to an NGO advocating for the rights and welfare of premature babies.
“I have been busy and all these years, I missed my primary constituency-Nollywood. That is why I have decided to stage a comeback because the pressure has been on me from family, friends and fans across Nigeria and the world,” Asiegbu said.
