Roxy Oni Cruises To The Semis of ‘Star The Winner Is’

As the battle for the final ticket of ‘Star The Winner Is’ gets tougher and closer, Roxy Oni has emerged the seventh contestant to qualify for the semi-final round of the music game show.

Roxy, 23, proved how much she deserved to wear the winning crown of the night after she beat fellow contestant Damilare Anifowoshe, to get fast tracked to the final round of the episode with a whooping score of 95-6 votes from the 101- jury members.

She and other contestants: Kelvin James, Blessing James, Damilare Anifowoshe, Ifu Ennada and Dehinde Okubajo, delivered a fascinating mixture of musical genres, did justice to their performances, and they gave the jury members a very difficult task of deciding winners in every round.

Damilare, a Fuji music-loving contestant, had delivered a remix of Afro-pop star, 9ice’s Gongo Aso, to the utmost delight of the audience. But Roxy’s mesmerizing performance of Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’, stole the show beating her opponents in the final round. This put her a few steps closer to wining N10million and a brand new car.

She will be joining others lucky contestants like Philip, Brenda, Happiness, Naomi, Rhema and Jahtell, for the final.
