M-Net insists on hosting Big Brother Africa

Despite the fire outbreak that razed its studio earlier this week, M-Net insists it will still host this year’s Big Brother Africa show in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The extent of the fire that razed the Big Brother show house was not known but M-Net and its co-organiser Endemol released a statement suspending the show.
Three days after the incident, the organisers have released another statement announcing that the show will go on since a new venue has been found to get the show on air within the next month.
The actual venue was however not disclosed.
“M-Net is delighted to assure all its Big Brother fans that their favourite reality show will launch soon and we like to thank our fans from across the continent for their support during the last two days,” the statement said.
It said a multitude of factors have had to be considered including the complex technical requirements, logistics, technical crews and satellite link facilities which have all formed part of the challenge.
