Following their 2-3 loss to Congo in the opening match of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last Saturday at the Esuene Stadium, Calabar, former Nigerian international, Henry Nwosu, is confident the Super Eagles will come out victorious against Bafana Bafana of South Africa in today’s qualifying match in Cape Town, South Africa.

A defeat or draw in Cape Town this evening will be a huge disappointment to soccer loving Nigerians who are expecting their team to turn the table against the home team.

Nwosu said Eagles need to put their act together so as to bring their race to defend the AFCON trophy they won in South Africa back on the track.

He noted that if Congo could come to Nigeria and picked three points in Calabar, it is possible for Keshi’s team to come out victorious against South Africa in today’s tie.

“Our first match against Congo showed that our team did not prepare mentally and physically for the visiting team and they dearly paid for it. Our players must wake up and get good result in Cape Town,” he said.

“This means that our next mach is a must win. We know the importance of the match against the South Africans and I think our team are going to the tie with positive mind. If South Africa can win away against Sudan, it is possible for Eagles to pick their first win in today’s encounter,” he said.
