Osogbo Chief Imam died with great knowledge – Aregbesola

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun said on Wednesday that the late Chief Imam of Osogbo, Sheik Mustapha Ajisafe, was an embodiment of knowledge.
Aregbesola made the remark at the burial of the Imam held at the Osogbo City Stadium.
The governor, who reflected on Ajisafe’s life and his immense contribution to the development of Islam, described the deceased as the epitome of knowledge.
“Ajisafe should have been a professor by virtue of his vast Islamic knowledge,” he said.
Aregbesola noted that death is the only certain thing in life and therefore prayed for the repose of his soul.
NAN reports that scores of Muslim leaders, including chief imams from the South-West, Edo and Delta, were present at the occasion.
Ajisafe, 87, who died on Monday, was also the President of the League of Imam and Alfas, South-West, Edo and Delta.
