3 dead, many injured in Synagogue building collapse
At least three persons were confirmed dead while about 15 others sustained different degrees of injuries following the collapse of a seven-storey hostel accommodation at the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Ikotun, Lagos.
Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, the Spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), South-West Zone, gave the figures while responding to questions from newsmen at the scene.
The building collapsed at about 1:00p.m. on Friday.
Rescue operations were being carried out by church officials, NEMA, the police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA).
The police have yet to make a statement on the issue as at the time of this report.
