Organisers of the Omoolore Gold Soccer Championship have fixed 20 September at Campos Sports Centre, Lagos Island.
Nice Base Football Club of Oluwole, Lagos Island and G-12 Football Club of Ona- La, Lagos Island will battle in the final promises to be an exciting game.
The tourney is sponsored by Kazeem Fatade popularly known as Omoolore. Fatade is one of the aspirants who is contesting for Federal House of Representatives Lagos Island Constituency I under All Progressive Congress APC.
Chairman Eko Youth Sports Association, Lateef Ojora Ogunfowora expressed gratitude to God for the success of the tournament. He commended the participating teams for the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited throughout the tournament.
“We are getting set for the final and I am happy that the finalists have many supporters on Lagos Island. It is going to be a tough match and I expect a full house for the closing ceremony,” he said.
Ogunfowora also said that men of the Nigeria Police will be on hand to ensure security on that day.
“Like I said before, the two finalists are good teams and have thousands of fans on Lagos Island, we have put in place good security measure to checkmate violence during and after the match,” he said.
