Afro-pop stars, 2Face Idibia and Wizkid, both headliners for this year’s Hennessy Artistry, are putting finishing touches to their first ever collaboration for the Hennessy Artistry theme song.
P.M.NEWS Entertainment Cafe learnt that the two musicians have had several sessions at the Urban Vision Studio where they listened to different background rhythms sent in from some of the biggest music producers in the music industry.
Of the five beats that were sent in, the headliners have selected one and have kicked off studio sessions to complete the track.
The finished theme song will be premiered on Thursday, 2 October.
The headliners will then take over some of the buzzing clubs in and out of Lagos for the Hennessy Artistry club tour including Ghana and South Africa.
Already, four more talents have been revealed as supporting acts for this year’s Artistry.
They are Wande Coal, Skales, GripBoiz and RunTown. They joined Oritsefemi, Young GreyC, Patoranking and Reminisce announced last week.
All the acts came out to party at the official club tour of the Hennessy Artistry 2014 which kicked off on Friday 19 September at Club Ibiza in FESTAC and on Saturday, 20 September at The Place in Lekki, Lagos.
Both events were hosted by Beat FM OAP, Jimmie with DJ Neptune and DJ Spinall on each of the nights.
The next club tour will hold 30 September at the Sip Nightclub on Victoria Island with performances from Patoranking and GripBoiz. The Artistry train will then move to Ibadan with Oritsefemi to party with lovers of Hennessy and music.
The tour will culminate in a grand finale on 6 December.
