A group rallying support for the re-election of Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, ‘Talba House to House’, on Saturday inaugurated state and local government executives.
Inaugurating the executives in Gombe, the leader of the group, Alhaji Abdullahi Jalo, charged the group to promote good governance in the state and the country at large.
He said that the group was made up of professionals committed to supporting Dankwambo and promoting good governance.
“Our mission is to assist the governor and be part of the good governance of the Talban Gombe for his second term tenure.
“We will ensure that good governance, natural justice, equity and good conscience become the hallmarks of equity in leadership.
“This is in conformity with the status and standard of other developed states in the country,” he said.
Jalo assured the people of more dividends of democracy under the leadership of the organisation through employment opportunities for youths and women.
Mr Shuaibu Baba-Sabulu, the state Chairman of the PDP promised to support for the group in actualising its mission and objectives.
The chairman, who was represented by the Public Relations Officer of the party, Alhaji Musa Gadam, called on other organisations to emulate the gesture.
He called on party supporters to play politics according to the rules and to ensure that they were registered ahead of the 2015 elections to enable them exercise their constitutional right.
Also speaking, Alhaji Ahmed Yayari, the Chief of Staff, Government House, assured the group of government’s support.
