The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) has condemned recent assault on Justice John Adeyeye of the Ekiti State High Court in Ado-Ekiti on 25 September during the inaugural sitting of the state Election Tribunal.

This was contained in a letter by the conference to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), signed by Mr Osita Okechukwu, CNPP National Publicity Secretary in Abuja on Sunday.

The conference, in the document made available to NAN, condemned the “tragic assault on the temple of justice” in Ekiti State.

It called on the CJN and Chairman of the Nigeria Judicial Council to, as a matter of urgent national importance, relocate the two courts to Abuja, for speedy dispensation of justice.
