Amaju Pinnick, Executive Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission, is set to be elected new Nigeria Football Association president. The election to land Aminu Maigari’s successor is ongoing at the Golden Tulip hotel in Warri, Delta state and results from the first round puts Pinnick ahead of close contender, Taiwo Ogunjobi.

Pinnick finished with 25 votes in the first round while Ogunjobi finished with 14 but Pinnick could not be named winner because he needs two-third, which is a total of 29 votes to win the election.

A re-run election is ongoing and Pinnick is expected to emerge victorious unless Ogunjobi can convince voters otherwise.
