Eid-El-Kabir

National Carrier, Globacom, has congratulated all Nigerian Muslims as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir, an important festival in the Islamic calendar.

“We warmly felicitate with our Muslim brothers in Nigeria as they celebrate the 2014 Eid-el-Kabir.  As they savour the joy of the occasion, we call on the Muslim Ummah to continue to live up to the tenets of the Islamic faith through acts of charity, peaceful co-existence with their neighbours and obedience to the injunctions of Holy Quoran, ” Globacom stated in a press statement released  in Lagos on Friday.

The Company also rejoices with all Nigerians who successfully performed the Hajj this year in fulfillment of a key injunction of the Islamic faith and urged them to imbibe the lessons of commitment, dedication and obedience to higher authority inherent in Prophet Ibraheem’s willingness to sacrifice his son in deference to the will of God which Eid-El-Kabir commemorates.

According to Globacom, “It is a season of charity, peace and forgiveness; we must remember to fend for the poor and the needy in line with Allah’s injunction to be our brother’s keeper.”
