The Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare has raised an alarm over the activities of internet fraudsters who have opened Facebook accounts in his name.
He raised the alarm during a church service in Lagos, western Nigeria, on Sunday.
He said his attention was drawn to it as the scammers were using the platform to solicit for financial assistance from unsuspecting members of the public.
Pastor Bakare said one of his friends and pastor, Jonathan David had noticed the fake Facebook accounts and asked people to ignore it.
He said he does not have a Facebook account, adding jokingly, that the only book he faces is the Bible.
He said he could be reached through the church’s official website and warned the scammers to desist from the act before nemesis catches up with them.
