‘There is no atom of doubt in our minds that the baton fell on one of best hands in football administration in the country. In short, this is a golden era in the leadership of our football. We will start witnessing the beginning of a new dawn. We expect you to be pro-active with the trends so as to set the tone for the good of the game in the land. It is the best our football deserves this century. The pace you set for Delta State sports remains a landmark. We at the supporters club would remain proud of you. We expect you to begin in earnest far reaching and thorough reconstruction of the game that would bring different factions or camps together for meaningful development,” he said.

The supporters club supremo enjoined all stakeholders and professionals to join hands with the NFF boss so that he will re-invent the fortunes of the game in the country. Okumagba insists that the only option left for the country now is to bury the hatchet and fully embrace the anticipated action oriented activities of executive committee as they set the ball rolling which will bring about the much cherished sport out of the present doldrums. Amaju, he pointed out, has the capacity to liven up the arena with fresh ideas that would move the game forward in every true sense of the word, he stressed.

“Truly speaking, there must be synergy within the NFF leadership so as to heal the wounds. There should be no victor, no vanquished status as the process of reconciliation and bridge building continuous. There must be transparency in the whole move that would bring about lasting peace to the body of our football which will get us back to where we rightfully belong. We cannot run away from this home truth that has just happened to our football. We have to support him unconditionally because his success is our collective success too,” he said.
