Bundesliga bottom side Werder Bremen sack coach

Bundesliga bottom side Werder Bremen on Saturday sacked coach Robin Dutt with his team winless after nine games of the season.
Having been in charge for just over a year, the 49-year-old was relieved of his job less than 24 hours after his side’s 1-0 defeat at home to Cologne on Friday which left them with just four points and having conceded 23 goals.
The four-time German champions — though their last title was back in 2004 — were routed 6-0 at German league leaders Bayern Munich last Saturday with the visitors failing to generate a single shot at goal over 90 minutes.
Bremen’s Under-23 coach Viktor Skripnik has been appointed as caretaker coach while the search for Dutt’s successor goes on.
