My time to lead Lagos has come, says Ikuforiji

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, ‎who will on Sunday officially declare his intentions to contest the Lagos governorship race under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said on Saturday that his time to lead Lagos has come.

‎The official declaration will take place at the Blue Roof, LTV 8, Agidingbi, Ikeja on Sunday, 26 October by 1:00 p.m.

In a letter on his official declaration ceremony on Sunday, Ikuforiji said after praying to God ‎and consulting widely with Lagos residents, party members, opinion and religious leaders about his aspiration of becoming the next governor of the state, “Now the time has come!”.

‎”I write to invite you to the official declaration ceremony of my aspiration to be the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 governorship race in Lagos.

‎”My ambition is propelled by a vision to consolidate and enlarge the enviable legacy of good governance, sterling leadership and unmatched excellence for which Lagos State has come to be known,” Ikuforiji said in his letter of invitation at tomorrow’s official declaration.

He said he wants to provide the right kind of leadership that will transform Lagos into an enviable global city, one that all Lagosians will be proud of.

“We can make it happen,” he stated.

He added, “I, therefore, urge you to join me at this historic event to witness the beginning of the re-articulation of the tradition of good governance in Africa’s most populous city-state, which will take place at the Blue Roof, LTV 8, Agidingbi, Ikeja on Sunday, October 26, 2014 by 1pm.”
