Conductor Slumps, Dies At Bus Stop

There was confusion around Aguda bus stop, Ogba, Lagos, when a middle aged conductor plying Ogba –Ojota route, popularly known as IK, from Imo State, suddenly slumped and died on Wednesday morning.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that IK, who resides in Oke-Ira area of Ojodu LCDA, went to work in the morning but wasn’t looking healthy as usual.

“When he came out this morning, he wasn’t his usual self. His eyes were bulging and he wasn’t walking too well. Nobody paid him any attention because he was known to be an alcoholic; he was always seen around 2nd Junction where he indulged in drinking alcohol heavily. Suddenly, he started vomiting and collapsed. He died on the spot before any help could reach him,” an eyewitness told P.M.NEWS correspondent.

When P.M.NEWS visited the area, his body was seen covered with a blanket.

Shop owners locked up their shops were seen milling around discussing the incident.

Efforts to speak with them proved abortive.
