Policeman kills immigration officer

The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa, Mr Gabriel Adaji, has confirmed the death of an immigration officer shot by a police officer at Gurin, the Nigeria – Cameroun border town in Fufore LGA.

Adaji told NAN in Yola on Friday that the policeman had been arrested and detained by the Criminal Investigation Department.

He said the suspect, if found culpable, would face the wrath of the law.

NAN learnt that the deceased, Abubakar Mijinyawa, 35, was attached to Gurin out-post station as the policeman.
