The Super Eagles full squad had their first feel of the pitch at the main bowl of the Akwa Ibom International Stadium on Monday evening with a huge crowd turning up to cheer the team.
The session lasted for about two hours.
However, the two players who caught the fancy of the fans the most were team skipper Vincent Enyeama and Chelsea star midfielder Mikel Obi.
The fans hailed and applauded every of their moves throughout the session and it was as if the training session should not end.
Some of the fans spoke in local dialect with Enyeama, while others spoke in Ibo to Mikel.
At the end of the day, the fan demanded total victory against Bafana Bafana, which Enyeama promised will be done by the Grace of God.
Meanwhile, Nigeria striker Ikechukwu Uche has predicted a tough match against South Africa as the Super Eagles plot to secure Group A’s second qualification ticket for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Bafana Bafana lead the group with 11 points while Nigeria displaced Congo to move to second position with seven points each but with a better head-to-head and can snatch the second qualification ticket if they beat the visitors at the Akwa Ibom Stadium in Uyo on tomorrow.
