The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has begun the screening of aspirants for various elective positions ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
It was the turn of the House of Representatives aspirants Tuesday.
The aspirants and their supporters besieged the Acme Road Secretariat of the party for their screening.
The screening was ongoing as at the time of fillng this report.
A source within the party who spoke with our correspondent said that the screening was going on smoothly as expected.
Some of the aspirants who failed the screening were given five days within which to appeal their disqualification.
It was gathered that some of the disqualified aspirants had issues with their documents.
P.M.NEWS reliably gathered that 208 State Assembly aspirants have since been cleared to contest the party primary scheduled to hold on Monday, December 1, 2014.
At least 11 aspirants are also jostling for the governorship ticket of the party in the state.
