Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has said he has nothing against Lagos Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Jimi Agbaje, noting that he was only opposed to the flawed system that produced Agbaje as the party’s candidate for 2015 governorship election.
It would be recalled that Obanikoro while speaking yesterday during a press conference held at his Ikeja GRA campaign office few minutes after the primaries, described the exercise as a sham.
“The whole electoral exercise was a sham, I have never seen an election were ballot papers are counted before sorting,” he said
He was referring to the incident during the polling where the total number of votes cast, 863, was higher than the total number of accredited delegates, 806.
But in a tweet this evening, Obanikoro wrote on his page: “I have nothing personal against Jimi Agbaje. We are only trying to correct the flawed system put in place.”
