Spearheading the female invasion of Afrobeats, sexy singer, May7ven has released a musically interesting and infectious anthem “Werk” that she wants every working class person to relate to.
The new song is produced by Mictizzle Beatz who is signed to her label. The track fits perfectly in the genre of Afrobeat, Dance and Hip Hop, complete with a heavy bass and a House Remix by the House Boyz.
As an independent artist criss-crossing both sides of the Atlantic, in the UK and Africa, the year 2014 has been a very busy year for May7ven. This follows her African tour, the release of her Queen of Afrobeats E.P, returning to the United Kingdom in November for a nationwide promotional school tour, a series of special performances and finally headlining her own show at the world famous Jazz Café in Camden.
With all these and more under her belt, May7ven’s brand prowess continues to grow, while her ability to connect directly with her fan base has become second to none.
After running a three-month online competition that had her hashtag #WERK trending, May7ven has chosen a cover art design by the winning fan to reflect her africanised, eclectic and cosmopolitan style. May7ven is the daughter of famous footballer, Segun Odegbami.
