APC Southwest Caucus Holds Emergency Meeting In Lagos

The Southwest caucus of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has called on all people in the region not to sell their birthright by mortgaging their votes for stipends in the name of “Stomach Infrastructure”, in next year’s general elections.

At an emergency meeting held at the Lagos APC Secretariat, Acme road, Ogba to discuss the chances of the party in the region in the 2015 elections and the planning of a befitting burial for its late Zonal Secretary, Rev. Tunji Adebiyi, the caucus promised to secure victory for APC in all southwest states.

The APC Southwest caucus led by the National Vice Chairman (Southwest), Chief Pius Akinyelure, implored members to swing into action in their various states by setting machinery in motion to counter the fraudulent electoral malpractices by the opposition whom they said are very desperate and could go to any length to wrest power from the ruling party in the three remaining Southwest States.

The caucus also set aside 7th, 8th and 9th January, 2015 for the burial programme of the zonal secretary of the Caucus, Rev. Adebiyi, who died recently at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja.

To this effect, a Committee was set up to organise a befitting burial for the deceased.

According to the Director of Publicity for the Caucus, Mr. Ayo Afolabi, the committee headed by Chairman, Lagos APC, Otunba Henry Ajomale, is to meet with the late Adebiyi’s family and liaise with the Lagos State Government for the programme, as he was also a Special Adviser to the state governor on Inter-governmental Relations and member, Development Agenda for Western Nigeria, DAWN.
