Hamzat: Ambode Is Our Brother, We’ll Support Him

Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure and governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, has called on members of his campaign team to devote their energy and work towards ensuring the success of the party and all its candidates in the 2015 general elections in the state.

Hamzat spoke this morning at his campaign headquarters at Aromire area of Ikeja at an appreciation parley he held with his coordinators all over the state.

“We have done well and I want to thank you all for your commitment, loyalty and dedication. A Yoruba adage says you cannot see your brother and allow a stranger to occupy the stool of your family. We will never abandon our brother for a stranger,” he said.

Hamzat, who emerged second in the primary won by Akinwunmi Ambode, told members of his team that he had discussed with the Ambode team on the need to integrate members of his campaign.

“I told them that we have solid structure all over the state and that they have to integrate you all for a collective efforts aimed at ensuring victory in the elections,” he said.

According to him, he and his team will continue to work for the success of APC and its candidates at all levels, “and we will always be part of the party’s struggle to ensure a positive change at the centre in 2015.”
