The rumour that the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari slumped when he was delivering his speech in Calabar during the Presidential Campaign on 7 January, has been described as a ruse.

The Cross River State Chairman of APC, Pastor U. Usani, cleared the air while reacting to the rumour about Buhari’s ill health.

Pastor Usani told our correspondent at the party’s secretariat that he was was not shocked at the news and  concluded that it was a cheap propaganda.

“My brother, it is some of you in the media that are creating this ‘artificial scarcity’ of truth. And what else do you expect from a failing and fallen leadership with its exodus of idle followers. First and foremost, to prove that the rumour was not true, the venue where the event held, was not in the U.J. Esuene stadium, which the governor and his group denied us, but a different location.

“Come today, tomorrow and the future, APC as a party that is set for change, will not fail Nigerians by bringing out an unfit person for a job that involves the people and their future. This allegation is a litmus of test of their failure to serve the people well and come 14th Feb, they would start escaping with the people’s loot,” he said.
