Tens of thousands have already gathered in the Place de la Republique in Paris hours before Sunday’s march to mark the nation’s defiance and sorrow in the face of this week’s jihadist attacks.

Nearby roads were also packed as the city prepared to march alongside several world leaders in the wake of the attacks on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket that left 17 dead.
