As preparations ramp up for the third edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCAs, Wangi Mba-Uzokwu, Regional Director, MNet (West), has promised that 2015 will be an exciting year for Africa Magic viewers and lovers of entertainment.
Mba-Uzokwu, speaking with journalists recently, said the third edition of the awards promises to be bigger and better than the previous two editions.
“For this edition, we recorded a significantly higher number of entries compared to the last one; we’ve also seen an improvement generally in the quality of the entries,” she said.
Voting for the third edition of the AMVCAs is currently ongoing and viewers can vote up to 100 times for their favourite movies. Voting can be done online via web, wap or via the Wechat app.
The AMVCAs was created to celebrate excellence in the African film and television industry. Now approaching the third edition, the awards have gained acceptability across the continent and globally.
The third edition holds on 6 and 7 March, even as new, exciting programming have been launched on the Africa Magic channels.
“In 2015, viewers of Africa Magic should expect more exciting and fresh content. We’ve already begun the year on an exciting note, launching a number of shows including our highly rated Telenovela, Hotel Majestic, and others like The Calabash, Poisoned Bait and V-Republic. This is however just the beginning and our viewers should watch this space,” Mba-Uzoukwu added.
