NTA, AIT To Re-broadcast Glo-CAF Awards Gala

The  2014 Glo-CAF Award gala will be aired this weekend by two television networks for the benefit of Nigerians who missed the live broadcast on Thursday, 8 January, 2015.

The sponsor of the award, Globacom said on Friday that Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, will broadcast the event on Saturday, 24 January by 10p.m, while the African Independent Television, AIT will air it on Sunday, 25 January, by 10p.m.

According to Globacom, the re-broadcast is an opportunity for Nigerians who missed the live telecast earlier in the month to relive some of the greatest moments of the biggest night in African football.

It will be recalled that Ivorien International and Manchester City of England’s midfielder, Yaya Toure emerged as the African Football Footballer of the Year during the event, making it the fourth time.

The Manchester City FC midfielder ousted the likes of Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama (who came in second and third respectively) to win the coveted prize. Globacom has been sponsoring the event since 2005. Other winners on the night are:
