The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says the allegation by the All Progressives Congress (APC), that it planned scuttling the forthcoming general elections is a confirmation that it is not ready for the polls.
This was contained in a statement issued by Mr Olisa Metuh, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, on Thursday in Abuja, describing the allegation as unfounded claims.
Metuh said the APC and its Presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, were now frustrated that they could not present an alternative to the PDP and President Goodluck Jonathan.
He added that the APC had resorted to fabrication of stories in an attempt to heat up the polity and divert attention from their failure.
Metuh said that the PDP had superior campaign with its record of achievements and roadmap for a more prosperous Nigeria.
The PDP spokesman reassured that the party was ready for the elections and urged Nigerians to turn out en masse and vote for it come Feb. 14.
He also advised the APC to concede defeat, saying that its campaigns had exposed its emptiness and lack of integrity to Nigerians.
