Gunmen have attacked the All Progressives Congress, APC, office in Omoku, headquarters of Ogba/Egbema/Andoni Local Government in Rivers State, southern Nigeria.

The attack took place in the early hours of Thursday as the Dakuku Peterside, APC Rivers State governorship candidate’s campaign train, hit Omoku.

The incident is happening less than one week after the Dakuku Peterside Campaign Organization was bombed in Okrika when APC was setting up a campaign podium for his rally there.

The campaign manager of Dakuku Peterside Organization in Ogba/Egbema/ANdoni Local Government, Austin Ahiamadu, said the attack on the party’s office was intended to disrupt the APC campaign rally.
